Crowns and Bridges

Crowns

A dental crown is a cap or covering that encapsulates the entire surface of a tooth. Crowns are used to restore a tooth to its original shape and size when it cannot be repaired using fillings or other types of restorations. Our practice offers high-quality porcelain crowns that closely mimic the look and function of your natural teeth. These are highly durable restorations that can last many years with proper care.

Crowns can be used for a variety of issues including:

  • Cosmetic enhancement
  • Broken or fractured teeth
  • Large fillings
  • Decayed teeth
  • To cover teeth that have undergone root canal treatment

Bridges

Dental bridges fill in a gap left by missing teeth. A bridge is attached natural teeth on either side of this gap. We specialize in porcelain bridges to bring back the beauty and function of your smile.

There are many advantages to dental bridges including:

  • Maintain facial shape
  • Fill in the space left by missing teeth
  • Restore chewing and speaking ability
  • Prevent remaining teeth from moving out of position.
  • Restore your smile
  • Crowns and bridges require two visits to our practice. The first appointment involves an evaluation and taking several highly accurate impressions of your teeth and mouth which are used to create your restoration. The tooth/teeth are prepared to accommodate for the restoration. A temporary restoration is placed while the new one is being prepared. During your next visit, your permanent restoration is fixed in the mouth.
